Co-Founder and Director, Team Mental Health

Sile McDaid square

Sile graduated from Liverpool University Medical School in 2004 and gained her Certificate in Completion of Training (CCT) in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in 2014. As a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, throughout her career, Sile has worked in the community and inpatient units providing care to hundreds of children and adolescents suffering from a wide range of mental disorders. She is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Sile feels passionately about changing the way in which mental health is viewed and ultimately ensuring that wide ranges of professionals work together to ensure the health and wellbeing of young people today and into the future. Sile believes that as mental health is a community wide problem it needs a community wide approach to management.  She feels that it is time that society moves from a position of ‘first aid’ and emergency and crisis management to a more proactive preventative position. Sile is a co-founder and director of Team Mental Health, a company providing training for professionals to prevent, detect, intervene early and stamp out the stigma associated with mental health.
